The most common reason why Excel imports do not work is due to hidden formatting in the Excel file.

What you then need to do is to clear the Excel file from the formatting.

1. Select all text in the Excel file.

2. Copy the text.

3. Then paste the text into a plain text editor like Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac) without formatting(thus not Word or Pages).

4. Now, select and copy the unformatted text from the text editor.

5. Create a new Excel document.

6. Click the first cell (A1) and paste the unformatted text.

7. Save your Excel document, and try to import the file.
