Create a Proofreading List
A proofreading list allows you to send test versions of your newsletters to yourself and/or colleagues before sending them to your full audience. Proofreading lists appear directly in the Settings tab of the newsletter editor, making it easy to send test messages while you work.
You create a proofreading list the same way as a regular mailing list, with one key difference: you must enable the proofreading option in the advanced settings. When enabled, the list is automatically marked as hidden, meaning it is not displayed in subscription or unsubscription forms.
1. Create a New Mailing List
In the Recipients section of the main menu, click the New icon.
You will be brought to the Settings tab for the new mailing list.
Enter the following details:
Name β The name of the proofreading list
Sender name β The name shown as the sender of proofreading test emails
Sender email address β The email address used for sendings to the proofreading list
Reply-to email address - The email address that a recipient can reply back to.
Description β Optional text describing the list
2. Mark the List as a Proofreading List
Check the option This is a proofreading list.
Click Save.
3. Adjust Advanced Settings (Optional)
Select Show advanced settings to view additional mailing list options.
The list will already be marked as a hidden mailing list, preventing it from appearing to subscribers.
You may change this setting at any time if needed.
Send a Proofreading Test Mail
Once your proofreading list is created, it becomes available in the Settings tab of the newsletter editor each time you create or edit a newsletter. This allows you to send proofreading test emails directly from within the editor.
After sending a test mail to the proofreading list, a delivery report is automatically generated and can be found in the Reports section of the main menu.
