  4. In the predefined flow, review the three main steps (called nodes). The first node is the Listen node – this node tells the automation what action should trigger the flow and when the flow should start.

  5. Click the mailing list field in the Listen node and pick the target mailing list. The automation gets triggered whenever someone joins this list.

  6. Set the time for when new subscribers should receive welcome email. Click the Edit icon or the node to specify the delivery time of the newsletter.

  7. In the timeframe you can choose which days of the week you wish to send the newsletter. Exclude the days you don’t wish to send out the newsletter. Close the node when you are done with the node.

  8. Move to the third step in the flow. Select the newsletter to send as your welcome newsletter. Only newsletters set as transactional emails will appear in this list.

  9. Use the dropdown to pick the welcome email newsletter.

  10. After setting up all nodes, before activating the flow go to the Flow Settings tab. Enter the general flow settings information as needed.

  11. Click Save to store your settings.

  12. Return to the Canvas tab and press the Play button to activate the flow. The flow is now active.
